My summer at SCIL started on the 16th of July with the introduction to the other team members and presentations of their last project about circular economy. The sense of passion about the topic was clearly visible and I was excited what was about to come. As the next project for the local company Portaali was only for a week, time was flying by quite fast while we worked in different multi-cultural teams on building our ideas. In between all the thinking, there were a lot of activities and always time for a quick chat while having a coffee or tea in my case. My highlights were baking with the whole team and the VR session at Portaali including a bottle of sparkling wine for our winning idea.

The other project I was part of was dedicated to design a welcome service for Tampere3 for new students, especially from abroad. All of our experiences were flowing together, and we had a lot of discussions about the topic. In the end all the projects were presented and what I personally took away was a better sense of teamwork, understanding, new ways of working and inside on different topics, getting to hear and know different stories from different cultures and a lot of fun.
