In Smart Energy project, a multidisciplinary international team will work during the summer to explore a possible gamified solution for Smart Energy use at a university campus. The aim is to change people’s behavior to use less energy and other resources while adding usability and flexibility of the physical campus.
The team will work in co-operation with University Properties of Finland. The working premises will be at TAMK Kuntokatu 3 and TUT Kampusareena, Hervanta.

Gamification, using games and game-like elements, is one emerging approach to shaping and changing people’s behavior. Deliverables include at least a prototype application and a report on areas where gamified solutions show the greatest potential.
The team will demonstrate the prototype and other findings at a suitable event during the autumn 2017.
